Debbie Cox Schwalbe is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) since 2004 and has a Master’s Degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of IL at Springfield. She also has an additional 12 graduate hours in Gerontology. Her career path has provided her with experience in child welfare, addictions, equine assisted therapy, and behavioral health counseling within a medical clinic setting. She has been employed in the not-for-profit sector for much of her 22 year career as a therapist.
Debbie works with individuals beginning with adolescents and on up to young, middle, and senior aged adults. She also works closely with families, couples, and with groups. Debbie typically uses a cognitive behavioral and a strengths based approach and has expertise in addressing trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, bereavement, parenting, adjustment to life events, and with overall coping-skill development. Diane Pleasant has been in the mental health field since 1998, helping individuals and families overcome struggles in a variety of areas. She has a Doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Criminology. In addition, she has a Master's degree in Human Development Counseling, along with a background in law enforcement and service in the United States Army Reserves. Diane actively practices mindfulness -based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while utilizing a range of assessment tools to promote individual growth and self-awareness with each individual client engaged in the therapeutic process. She specializes in assisting clients actively involved in the criminal justice system when evaluation, assessment, testing, and treatment may be required. She also assists individuals and families in dealing with stress, anger, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, improved parenting skills, self-mutilation, substance abuse or simply improve coping skills to dealing with life.
